 If you want to broaden your expertise in design then you need to embrace new ways of seeing and thinking. Our design academy offers employees and management the opportunity to keep abreast with the latest trends in their specialist fields, thus generating new ideas and inspiration. 
 We team up with top-class representatives from business and research to evolve the topics offered at our conventions, conferences and seminars. The focus here is on theoretical and practical approaches in developing brand and design strategies.

Our congresses and conferences:

In the event format E=ID2, the German Design Council presents exemplary design-focused companies in Hesse through a practical presentation and on-site visit programme. Leading companies provide information on current issues relating to the theme of design as a factor in business and innovation.

At the 2016 German Brand and Design Congress we looked at where change is now taking place, where entrepreneurs are shaking up established markets and designers are giving shape to disruptive business models. 

The ICONIC CONFERENCES series, formerly Architektur für Marken, focuses on three-dimensional brand worlds and their successful presentation.

Past events:

How to humanize the digital transformation? That was the key question of the Design at Business Conference “HOW TO HUMANIZE THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION?” 2016 in Berlin. The organiser of the event was the German Design Council in conjunction with SAP and Microsoft.

The congress Design Innovation Europe supports the discussion to the European discourse on design. Given the constantly changing economic and social challenges facing Europe, design has been gaining in importance and influence in recent years.

The Create Innovation conference in Leipzig was dedicated to the opportunities and potential of design for the innovation of German companies in all sectors. 

At the conference design e-mobility the extent to which design is able to increase the attractiveness of electric mobility and to display their potential has been discussed.
The review contains pictures of the event and the „Trend-Dossier zum Kontext Design und Elektromobilität“ as well as interviews with experts.

At the conference Material Vision – Designing the Weightless World designers of world-class and high-level experts in materials research discussed trends in research and product development.
