YDMI Young Designers Meet the Industry

YDMI – Young Designers Meet the Industry is the German Design Council’s communication and acquisition platform for up-and-coming designers. YDMI has been held once a year since it was launched in 2007. The focus is on creating networking opportunities and bringing Young Professionals from the fields of product, textile and industrial design, communication design and interior design together with well-established companies and studios that have a strong design thrust. The YMDI Days give selected young designers the opportunity for a number of days to present their works as part of a curated exhibition, talk with potential clients and experts from the industry and make new contacts. The YDMI Days program features, among other things, the YDMI SHOW, the YDMI PORTFOLIOSHOW, the YDMI DINNER, several workshops and the Young Professional of the Year Award. Offering a whole host of different formats, YDMI offers all participants the opportunity to engage in a spirited exchange of ideas.
