Outstanding! The smart combination of technology and design.

One of the leading design competitions in Germany, Design Plus pays tribute to outstanding product achievements at trade fairs such as ISH or Light+Building. Every year, the competition honours products that intelligently combine technology and design and offers exhibitors a unique opportunity to present and differentiate their products in the sometimes confusing diversity of trade fairs.

Over the years, the Design Plus seal of quality has advanced to become a coveted mark of distinction, and the competition is now a valued communications platform for companies.

Creative innovation at Light + Building Design Plus powered by Light + Building.

A competition for all exhibitors at Light + Building, for students and graduates: Design Plus powered by Light + Building honours pioneering products at the trade fair – thus reflecting the creative innovation in their product worlds: the competition shows how lighting, electrical engineering and building automation can impress not only in terms of comfort and technology but also in their design.

Eligible to participate are all exhibitors at Light + Building, as well as students and recent graduates of product and industrial design or architecture/interior design. The expert jury assesses the entries with regard to design, ecology and innovation; all of the award-winning products are shown at a special exhibition organised during the trade fair.
