Companies, agencies and organisations can enter the competition for the German Brand Awards 2018 with their brands, campaigns and projects until 2 March 2018. The award winners will be introduced at a festive gala in Berlin in June 2018.
The major winners of the past two years in the premium class 'Excellence in Branding' include the brands AXENT, Durable, Edding, Kaldewei, Koelnmesse, KYOCERA, LAMY, Lufthansa Systems, Ledlenser, Motel One, RTL II, Telekom and Vorwerk.
Entries can be submitted in two categories: The category 'Industry Excellence in Branding' covers the best product and corporate brands of the 35 most important industries, while the category 'Excellence in Brand Strategy, Management and Creation' honours the best in individual disciplines, including Brand Design, Brand Strategy, Brand Experience, Employer Branding, Corporate Design, Integrated Campaign, Corporate Events, Fairs, Exhibitions, Social Media, Content Marketing, User Experience, Brand Behaviour, Ambient Media, Outdoor Advertising, Influencer Marketing, Point of Sales, Print, Public Relations, Web, Mobile, App, etc.
It is possible to enter a brand in multiple competition categories. An independent body of experts from industry and academia will select the winners of the German Brand Awards.
'The German Brand Award is the first competition to cover all specialist disciplines of modern brand management and thus accurately reflects the complexity of brand management as well as the essential significance of the brand in corporate success,' explained Andrej Kupetz, executive director of the German Design Council. 'After the resounding response in the past two years, our task this year is once again to discover, present and honour branding trends,' added Kupetz.
