Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 3: Design Between Infrastructure, Identity and Experience
Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport is one of the largest infrastructure and design projects in Europe and an international flagship project for mobility, orientation and user experience. It is a place where infrastructure, design and societal expectations come together at a new level of quality. Today, airports are cultural places of identity and international interfaces within a globally connected economy.
Design as a Shaping Force in Public Spaces
Against this backdrop, the talk series on design and business, Moving Business by Design, opens a dialogue on how design creates orientation, shapes experiences and enables economic transformation in complex infrastructure projects. The focus is on the design, political and economic decisions behind projects of this scale – and on the responsibility of design as a strategic driver.
