Bundespreis Ecodesign: Exhibition & Vernissage

How can design help to make our future more sustainable? This year's competition received over 150 entries, offering a variety of answers to this question and inviting everyone to take a closer look.

The event kicks off on 18 September 2026 with a festive opening reception at the Metropolenhaus in Berlin. The Federal Ministry for the Environment, the Federal Environment Agency, and the International Design Centre Berlin are jointly inviting visitors to explore the shortlisted projects and other fascinating submissions.

From 19 September, the exhibition will be open to the public. Over the following four days, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the shortlisted entries and draw inspiration from the diversity of sustainable design.
