Service Design Global Conference 2026
The Service Design Global Conference (SDGC26) will take place from 28 to 30 October 2026 in Wiesbaden, the state capital of Hesse. Over the course of three days, the conference will explore how service design can help us understand complex social, technological, cultural and environmental challenges and work together to develop sustainable solutions for the future.
As one of the flagship events of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, SDGC26 also ties in with the guiding theme “Atmospheres for a Better Life”. The focus is on how service design, through human-centred and collaborative approaches, can contribute to shaping the systems, services and conditions that define our everyday lives in a sustainable way – and thereby foster a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable future.
The 19th edition of the conference will bring together participants from more than 50 countries and over 20 international speakers, who will share their experiences of how new ideas can be developed, implemented and scaled. Located in the heart of Wiesbaden, the RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) will provide a space for exchange and collaboration – across industries, disciplines and ways of working.
About SDGC26
The Service Design Global Conference (SDGC26) is organised annually by the Service Design Network (SDN) and brings together the international service design community. The three-day programme provides opportunities for professional exchange, new perspectives and networking within a global community.
The conference opens on 28 October with workshops at various locations across Frankfurt and Wiesbaden, followed by an exclusive Opening Event. On 29 and 30 October, the two-day conference programme will take place at the RheinMain CongressCenter, featuring keynotes, panels, workshops and discussions addressing key questions in service design. The sessions will explore different aspects of the field – from its social impact and the design of better services to its strategic role within organisations, as well as the implications of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.
International keynote speakers include Cecilia Brenner, Managing Director at Design for Good; Lou Downe, Founder and Director of the School of Good Services; and Monica Dalla Riva, Senior Vice President and Chief Design Officer at Deutsche Telekom AG. The conference will conclude on 30 October with a Closing Event, providing a final opportunity for exchange and networking within the international service design community.
In addition to attending in person at the RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC), participants will also have the option to join the conference online.
